Millions of marginalized rural youth, artisans in Bangladesh previously had been unable to access a proper marketplace for their products and secure a fair price as they lacked the means to reach new, urban customers directly, bypassing multiple layers of traditional, high-cost intermediaries. ekShop initiated digital avenues to create access to markets for this rural population, who had previously been largely ignored by the conventional e-Commerce strategic practices. With ekShop platform, they can purchase online, their desired products too and get it delivered to them through the nearest UDCs, by ekShop’s nationwide logistics network.
